NOTICE OF A PUBLIC MEETING
CONCERNING A PROPOSED ZONING BY-LAW AMENDMENT
MUNICIPALITY OF McDOUGALL

TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of McDougall will hold a public meeting on August 13, 2003 at 7:00 p.m. at the Municipal Office to consider a proposed zoning by-law amendment under Section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990.

THE PURPOSE of the proposed Zoning By-law amendment is to rezone Part of Lots 22 and 23, Concession 10 in the geographic Township of McDougall from the Rural (RU) Zone and Environmental Protection (EP) Zone to the Industrial Pit (M2) Zone.

THE EFFECT of the proposed rezoning is to allow a sand pit to be established on the subject land. Once the material is removed from the site, a pond will be left to be used in conjunction with the Georgian Nordic Ski and Canoe Club facilities.

AND TAKE NOTICE that the lands that are subject of this zoning by-law amendment are not the subject of a consent application, an application for an Official Plan Amendment or an approval of a plan of subdivision.

ANY PERSON may attend the public meeting and make written and/or verbal representations either in support of or in opposition to the proposed Zoning By-law amendment.

IF ANY PERSON OR PUBLIC BODY that files an appeal of a decision of the Council of the Municipality of McDougall in respect of the proposed zoning by-law does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Corporation of the Municipality of McDougall before the proposed zoning by-law is adopted, the Ontario Municipal Board may dismiss all or part of the appeal.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION is available for inspection at the Municipal Office during normal office hours.
